The role

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level reporting and analytics solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable insights, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dashboards and reports that drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Dashboard Development: Design and implement interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Data Modeling: Create efficient and scalable data models, relationships, and hierarchies in Power BI.
  • ETL and Data Integration: Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize reports and datasets for performance and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the final deliverables meet business needs.
  • Data Governance: Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance to improve team capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve data and performance issues in Power BI.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with Power BI development, including advanced reporting and dashboard creation.
  • Strong experience in data modeling and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS, Alteryx, or similar.

    • Technical Skills:

  • Advanced Power BI features (Power Query, Power Automate integration, Row-Level Security).
  • Expertise in SQL for querying and data manipulation.
  • Proficiency in data warehousing and multidimensional data structures.
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, or other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of other visualization tools such as Tableau and Qlik.
